WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR CAREER COUNSELLING
The first session is mainly to explore your current job and lifestyle situation, any career ideas and your ideas about the situation and your options. This lasts about 60 minutes. Any follow up sessions are specifically arranged with an agenda for work related issues. You may also be asked to do some homework or research between appointments.
You will be asked to bring with you any relevant documentation to help us decide on a plan of action. Depending on your needs and the discussion, we plan what to do. The process aims to help you assess and expand your self-awareness and opportunity-awareness.
What is the difference between Career Counselling and Vocation Counselling?
Some Vocation Counsellors at school often made the decisions for us, gave us a plan and a course of direction, said “you’d be good at that”, and when we were half way through – found it was not what we wanted at all.
We can offer Career Counselling via email and telephone, if this is an easier alternative for you.
